By Robert Lavallee – Community Developer Blog Post for January 14 – 18

Aniin – Boozhoo – welcome to the second week of my blog! I am sharing my experiences as a Community Developer for the First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory. I will share stories from the people, photos and videos and share any interesting information I come across.
My second week started out with a Land, Water & Resource Council meeting at the Government Building located at 38 – 2nd Avenue NE, Dauphin, Manitoba.

The role of the Land, Water & Resource Council: “To advise and assist the Council of Chiefs and Grand Council on governance matters relating to all stewardship and management of Land and Water of Treaty 2 Territory, as authorized by the Land and Water Protection Act.”

On January 16, 2019 – FNiT2T presented to the Health Directors of West Region Tribal Health in Brandon, Manitoba.

The FNiT2T staff also had the opportunity to promote the Celebration of Nations to be held on March 14-17, 2019 at the Credit Union Place in Dauphin, Manitoba.
I have much respect for the people of the First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory – and it is with this same respect that I come into your community. As we build the nation together, we also build our friendship and relationships with one another. I look forward to meeting you and hearing your stories.
Please contact me if you have something that you would like to know or share.
