Treaty 2 Territory – The Council of Chiefs and Staff of FNiT2T Government would like to extend our condolences to the Family and friends of Shirley Malcom Fontaine (Kah beh zhi gway dung pinehesse kwe, The Thunderbird Who Speaks Once Woman), from the Ebb and Flow First Nation and former Associate Executive Director of the Manitoba First Nations Education Resource Center.
Fontaine Malcom passed away early this morning after a brief illness.
A tireless worker who helped establish MFNERC, she believed in her people, language and commitment to bettering our youth through education.
She will be missed.
