FNiT2T (First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory was in the beautiful community of Ebb and Flow on Tuesday April 23, 2019 for an open house. It was well attended by the youth from the school and community members along with Elders. There will be a governance committee meeting in Ebb and Flow on May , 2019 to start the process of EF developing their own constitution for self-government of their own community. I was also in attendance for the Skownan First Nation governance committee meeting on April 24, 2019 This was attended by leadership, community members, youth and elders. Skownan will also be drafting their own constitution for self governing their community. On Friday April 26, 2019 I was in Lake Manitoba First Nation to attend their governance committee meeting. Lake Manitoba is also in the process of developing a committee and constitution for self-government for Lake Manitoba First Nation. There is a governance committee meeting set for Lake Manitoba for May 10, 2019. It was a great week in the area of community development.
