Aniin,
This week I attended the graduation pow wow held on May 15, 2019 at the Dauphin Comprehensive Secondary School. There were graduating students from several Treaty 2 First Nations. The students enjoyed the drum group songs and dancing from all the dancers. It was a great display of community relationship building and overall positive experience for all who attended.
On May 16, there was a local governance committee meeting held in Ebb and Flow First Nation. This was the first meeting in Ebb and Flow of the committee to start on the constitutional development for Ebb and Flow. A follow up meeting is scheduled in the next few weeks.
I was in attendance on May 17, 2019 of the official groundbreaking ceremony for the Gambler First Nations Urban development zone in Brandon. Congratulations to Chief Ledoux and his community on this economic development for their community.
