May 23, 2019 – Lake St. Martin (WINNIPEG Sub-Office)
Lake St. Martin First Nation’s newly appointed Governance Coordinator, Committee Members and First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory met for the first time. During this session they all received an orientation and presentation on the following issues/topics; What is a Constitution, Bill S3 and Governance Committee Terms of Reference.
The first meeting went well and Committee Members discussed plans on creating a workplan to begin work on developing a Constitution for their First Nation.
Next meeting is planned for Wednesday, May 29th, at 1:00 pm in the new community.
