On May 21, 2019 I attended a governance committee meeting in the beautiful community of Keeseekoowenin First Nation. Community history and timelines were discussed. A presentation was done by Lorie Thompson on membership and constitutional development. There was positive discussions on the future of Keeseekoowenin and how to develop a plan for Keeseekoowenin in the area of self governance. There is another governance meeting scheduled for June 10, 2019 in the community.
