This week I had the pleasure of attending the Treaty Day celebrations in Lake St. Martin First Nation. It was a beautiful sunny day. Treaty 2 staff did a presentation on treaties to the community members at the school. Elder Wood spoke to the members in attendance about the importance of working together and building a future for Lake St. Martin and the youth. The event was held at the school and was well attended by the community.
There will be numerous pow wows and treaty day celebrations throughout the Treaty 2 territory this summer !
