The Ebb Flow governance committee held their most recent meeting at the Elders room located at the local school. Elder Gladys Malcolm did the opening prayer. The committee continued to reviewed governance capacity tool for Ebb and Flow. Community coordinator Phyllis Racette continues to work on organizing her First Nation to move forward with a solid plan on Nation-based Treaty-based governance.
Discussion was around the development of codes/laws and how to get the community involved in this process. The committee also reviewed other First Nation first laws and constitutions for ideas in developing their own.
The next meeting is scheduled for July 03,2019 at the school.
