Treaty 2 territory – FNT2T Senior staff Ryan Sutherland & Dr. Betty Lynxleg met with key administrators, program leaders and educators from Assiniboine Community College (ACC) to further discuss the development of college programs for the Treaty 2 Territory.
Partnerships are key to the establishment of the FNT2T Life Long Learning Lodge (LLLL) that is being created in support of full establishment of the FNiT2T Government. ACC was the first institute to embrace the partnership opportunity and is willing to support the LLLL through its development.
ACC has also offered to bring other partners already working with the college into the circle of development. Discussions were held on the establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalize the partnership process and collaboration for distinct programs relative to the FNT2T.
A building has been purchased to host the Life Long Learning Lodge and will be ready for fall sessions. Next meeting date is set for July 4, 2019 at the FNT2T Government building in Dauphin. Stay-tuned for the next update!
