Treaty 2 Territory – The summer is in full stride with this amazing Nakota Language Gathering held by Pheasant Rump Nakota Nation.

Chief Ira MacArthur and Pheasant Rump Nakota Nation have invited members and guests to gather during this time to assist in keeping their language strong and vibrant. During the gathering; speakers, elders, educators and language warriors are volunteering their time to assure the Nakota language stays strong.

“On behalf of FNT2T we attended the Nakota Language Gathering at Pheasant Rump Nakota First Nation, and what a wonderful experience. We witnessed and experienced Nakota culture first hand from local Nakota knowledge keepers”, said Joseph Maud, Director Internal/External Relations.
The day concluded with Nakota Hand games in which was well participated by. We thank Chief Ira MacArthur and his volunteers for being wonderful hosts, Miigwetch!
