Lake Manitoba ready to host the Grand Council & Treaty Gathering

Lake Manitoba, Treaty 2 Territory – Today the leadership of Lake Manitoba met with FNT2T staff to review the current planning of the Grand Council and Treaty Gathering 2019 held on 20/21 August 2019 at the Cultural Grounds in Lake Manitoba (Dog Creek) First Nation.

Discussed was the local support and tasks assigned.  Promoting and communication strategy continues with signage, online, paper and radio ads.  Our website online has the registration for members.  Camping will be available and open on Monday 19 August beginning at 4pm. There will be security throughout the event beginning on the registration day.

The agenda and documentation will be released 30 days prior to event as per our Onankonehkawin (First Law).

The Agenda includes; Reports from all Councils, Reports from Secretariats, Council Lodge discussions, Law Development, Resolutions, Unfinished Treaty Business and Direction for the year ahead;
