St. Lazare, Treaty 2 Territory – FNiT2T staff continue to monitor clean up efforts at the CN – St. Lazare Derailment site. The site is located in the Treaty 2 Territory; the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Dakota and Nakota.
On Tuesday July 9th Treaty 2 staff inspected the area, looking for dead waterfowl and small amphibians, none were found. FNiT2T advised CN Liaison Daniel Gagne that Treaty 2 Office must be provided with regular soil and water sample results.
