Treaty 2 Territory – The Government of First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory (FNT2T) is proud the Winter Games will be held at Pinaymootang, 26-29 February 2020.
The activities of the FNT2T Winter Games will include badminton, basketball, hockey, snowshoeing for ages 12-17 years of age with with two age groups 14U and 17U and four (4) teams from our four (4) directions.

“This is really good for our youth, sports and The Nation. Our sports and games in our territory and Government of FNT2T will unite us and it is the second part of education”, Chief Woodhouse said in his announcement.

The purpose of the Winter Games is to celebrate young Anishinaabe through sport, activates and recreation which will promote Mino-Bimaadiziwin – “The Good Life” in the Anishinaabe language.
The local Nations include Ebb & Flow, Dauphin River, Gambler, Keeseekoowenin, Lake Manitoba, Lake St. Martin, Little Saskatchewan, O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi, Pinaymootang, Skownan and Tootinaowaziibeeng. Many of the other First Nations in the territory are expected to add their names once they join the Government of FNT2T.
