Treaty 2 Territory – on Thursday August 8th, 2019, FNT2T, in partnership with FortWhyte Farms, Assiniboine Community College (ACC) and Northern Association of Community Councils (NACC), submitted a Project Concept paper to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Indigenous Agriculture and Food Systems Initiative. Together, we reviewed and edited our project concept paper.

FNT2T senior staff, met with FortWhyte President and CEO Liz Wilson, FortWhyte Vice President Ian Barnett, Assiniboine Community College (ACC) staff Gerald Cathcart Coordinator – Business Development, ACC Lorraine Johnson Chairperson – Contract Training, and Northern Association of Community Councils (NACC) Linda Payeur Executive Director to formalize our partnership and discuss our Project Concept paper to Indigenous Agriculture and Food System Initiative.

In Partnership, we have developed what we think is an innovative solution to providing long-term solutions to providing healthy foods in our FNiT2T. Once funding is approved, we will develop the facilities and location together with Nations and Stakeholders.
