Treaty 2 Territory – FNT2T are pleased to announce the plans for the 2020 Winter Games are moving forward. The 2020 Winter Games Committee hosted their first meeting in Pinaymootang First Nation on Tuesday, September 24th. The 2020 Winter Games will take place on February 26th to February 29th 2020 with the host nation being Pinaymootang First Nation.
FNT2T Lead Keeper Boh Kubrakovich opened the meeting with welcoming remarks. Pinaymootang First Nation leadership, Councillor Kurvis Anderson and Councillor Ted Woodhouse, were in attendance and provided full support for the 2020 Winter Games. Jewel Parisien of Pinaymootang has been appointed the lead role of the winter games coordinator. Jewel brings her experience in coordinating events: her expertise will benefit FNT2T 2020 Winter Games.

The strategic plan for the 2020 Winter Games was introduced which included plans of a local committee, budget, sponsorship, volunteers, advertising, and signage. The Winter Games local committee will be established in October and will carry out responsibilities as host of the games.
The local committee will meet on a regular basis for the 2020 Winter Games. The next meeting is scheduled on October 11th 2019 in Pinaymootang First Nation.
