Treaty 2 Territory – Staff of the Government of FNT2T travelled to Pinaymootang to host a booth at their annual Health and Education Career Day at the Pinaymootang School. Over 80 Grade 7-12 students from Pinaymootang, Lake St. Martin, and Little Saskatchewan attended the morning fair. Lead Keeper, Boh Kubrakovich provided a brief history of the Treaty 2 Territory, Government of FNT2T and the taking back of the territory.
The Winter Games 2020 was a highlight were the announcement of the games was coming to the Nation and will be held 26-29 February. Students were encouraged to participate in any capacity: athletes, volunteers, and supporters of the 2020 Winter Games.
Councillor Kurvis Anderson made his presentation on chasing your dreams and believing in yourself to achieve such dreams. “One day we will be very proud to see a doctor and many nurses and health professionals come from our local Nation and Treaty 2 territory”, said Councillor Anderson. Councillor Anderson finished his time off by presenting a student with an official Winter Games 2020 sweater to be displayed at the Pinaymootang school.
