The First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory (FNT2T) Nation Development Circle and the Human Resource Administration Circle has been active engaging and in support the Local Nation Helpers (LNH). FNT2T staff have been meeting with the Local Nation Helpers that are currently in place to support their planning process for the development of a local constitution. Planning meetings were conducted with the LNHs representing Dauphin River, Lake Manitoba, Skownan, Pinaymootang, and Lake St. Martin. Plans for local development of the Nation constitution have been the focus to outline the scheduling for Nation open houses, regularly meetings with the local governance committee, and regional gatherings. Support was also provided to the LNHs to draft a budget for the work for the remaining of the fiscal year. Each LNH has the responsibility to meet with their Nation leadership and finance administrator to ensure that the funding that is allocated for constitutional development is coordinated in accordance with their local processes.
