Life Long Learning Lodge meets with ACC

October 2, 2019

Treaty 2 Territory – The FNT2T Life Long Learning Lodge (LLL Lodge) met with Director Indigenous Education Kris Desjarlais from Assiniboine Community College while in Brandon.  Kris Desjarlais as the liaison and direct link with FNT2T and ACC met with our Lead Keeper Boh Kubrakovich and LLL Lodge Keeper Allen Sutherland.

The meeting was to finalize and agree that the MOU is ready to be signed.  The LLL Lodge is taking the lead for all capacity building, training and certification within the FNT2T.  This is exciting news for the Government of FNT2T and the local Nations within the territory.

Both ACC and the LLL Lodge recognize that mutual benefits may be achieved through collaborative efforts in areas related to the provision of services relating to Post Secondary Services for learners.

The partners agree to explore the potential for collaborative efforts which would enhance the likelihood of successful implementation of post-secondary services within Treaty 2 territory, maximize the efficient use of available resources and be consistent with the missions and mandates of each partner.

The role and relationship of each of the partners, for each program pursued together will be negotiated in good faith and will be better defined in a signed Educational Agreement for each program.  All agreements are with the LLL Lodge and is the lead with ACC.
