Zero Waste, Recycle, Reduce and Reuse in Treaty 2 Territory

October 3, 2019

Treaty 2 Territory – The Government of First Nation in Treaty 2 Territory (FNT2T) is promoting Zero Waste, Recycling, Reducing and Reusing! Why? Our original way of life is to take only what you need to live and to leave no waste behind on the land. The disposable way of life is destroying the land, water, animals and plants. We must change the way we live.

• Zero waste, recycling, reducing, and reusing will lessen the foot prints we leave on Mother Earth.

• One piece of Styrofoam takes up to 450 years to decompose

• Mother Earth is left to deal with the garbage that comes from every gathering or meeting.

Become a Mother Earth Zero Waste, Recycler, Reducer, Reuser Helper today!

Start by carrying and using a Zero waste bundle everyday that can easily be put together using a cloth drawstring bag and put a recycled or reusable plate, bowl, cup, cutlery and cloth napkin in order to reduce the harm to Mother Earth and to ourselves.
