Grand Opening in Tootinaowaziibeeng

October 9, 2019

Treaty 2 Territory – FNT2T staff were in the community of Tootinaowaziibeeng Treaty Reserve to celebrate the grand opening of their Jordan’s Principle new learning centre and park. Chief and council were in attendance for the ribbon cutting ceremony. Chief Barry Mckay addressed the community members in attendance. After the ribbon cutting ceremony, community members toured the park and lunch was served at the community hall. Many presentations were made to the staff and leadership in their involvement in getting the new learning centre completed. For entertainment a hoop dancer gave a demonstration to the members. Emery Burning grass was in the community to entertain the audience. A great day to celebrate in Tootinaowaziibeeng!
