Knowledge Council meeting at the FNT2T Dauphin Office

Treaty 2 Territory – October 8, 2019. The Knowledge Council gathered at the FNT2T Government Building – Dauphin for their monthly session. Clarence Morse of Lake St. Martin chaired the meeting. Agenda items included a review of resolutions, governance discussions, Life Long Learning Lodge, Anishinaabemowin (language), Knowledge Collage, All Council session in Pinaymootang and the upcoming Treaty 1-5 forum.

The members of the Knowledge Council shared stories and provided the FNT2T with recommendations for Life Long Learning and Language. All members of the Knowledge Council were in full support and highly recommended Anishinaabemowin learning in all 11 Nations. Members were excited and showed interest in assisting with the FNT2T Anishinaabemowin sessions beginning in late October. 

Allen Sutherland, Life Long Learning Lodge Keeper of the FNT2T, presented on the future opening of the LLLL. The Knowledge Council were all in favour of the FNT2T moving forward in traditional education and learning. 

The next meeting for the Knowledge Council is scheduled for November 5th2019 in Lake St. Martin.
