Treaty 2 Territory – FNT2T staff were in the community of Keeseekoowenin First Nation on Oct 10,2019. A meeting with LNH (Local Nation Helper) Stephanie Swain-Lathlin, Chief Norman Bone and council Allison Mckay. Budgets and workplans were developed for Keeseekoowenin in moving forward in the area of governance for Keeseekoowenin and its members. There will be governance committee meetings and engagement sessions on governance, child well being, Life Long Learning, Natural World protection. Community members are encouraged to attend and participate in these sessions. Notices of where and when the meetings will be posted in the community. This is an important step for Keeseekoowenin in taking control of their own governance and setting up a positive future for the next generations.
