Treaty 2 Territory – Today Gambler First Nation had the pleasure of hosting First Nations Treaty 2 Territory representatives Boh Kubrakovich, Allen Sutherland, Ron Missyabit and Scott Lynxleg as they came out to share with some of our “off community members” about who they are and what they do.
We enjoyed learning more about First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory. The day began with Boh Kubrakovich who explained the government structure of FNT2T. Next we heard from Allen Sutherland and about the Lifelong Learning Initiative. We heard from Ron Missyabit who specializes in the protection of the natural world. Then lastly we briefly heard from Scott Lynxleg and what the expectations are of the Local Nation Helpers.
Once we finished our amazing lunch we had a great time of fellowship and just getting to know each other better.
At the close of our meeting our Chief & Council, some members and elders, and our LNH were presented with gifts of jackets hats t-shirts and sweaters.
