Treaty 2 Territory – Local Nation Helpers attended a 2 day training session in the FNT2T training centre in Dauphin on November 27 & 28, 2019. The local nation helpers learned the timeline history of treaties and how the first nations can collect local history for their own communities. The L.N.H also attended the Natural World Committee meeting on the second day. They observed a presentation on moose management and wolf studies that have been done in the Treaty 2 Territory. The training for the local nation helpers will continue until March 2020. They will be using this training to assist them in developing local constitutions, membership laws and election laws. The next training session is December 10 & 11, 2019.
