Treaty 2 Territory – Pinaymootang First Nation held it’s annual Christmas Celebration Dinner for off-reserve members in Winnipeg, MB on Thursday, November 28th, 2019. The event started with welcoming remarks from Council members of Pinaymootang First Nation, followed by a prayer by Councillor Kurvis Anderson. The First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory were invited to join the celebration dinner. Staff Members of the FNT2T assisted the celebration by serving members of Pinaymootang First Nation.
The celebration attracted 325 people including staff from Pinaymootang First Nation. Off-reserve members were treated to draws and free giveaways including FNT2T giveaways, grocery bundles, bus passes, iPads, and a very good home cooked meal.
Excellent job Pinaymootang staff, and others who helped in contributing to the successful event. The FNT2T would like to say “Miigwetch” to Pinaymootang First Nation Chief & Council, and the Pinaymootang First Nation for the invite in joining the celebration dinner!
