Treaty 2 Territory – Local Nation Helpers (LNH) from each local Nation of the First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory continued to gather at the Life Long Learning Lodge in Dauphin, MB on December 11th & 12th to move forward in developing the constitution for their local Nation.
Allen Sutherland, LLL Lodge Keeper held a training session for the Local Nation Helpers during the two-day session, and presentations were conducted by Ray Mousseau, Scott Lynxleg, Ryan Sutherland, and Toby Desnomie.
The Local Nation Helpers now have control and access to each Local Nation Website. The local nation website will contain information and events on their nations, and other happenings within the Treaty 2 Territory.
Local Nation Helpers play an important role in developing the constitution and local laws for their respective Nations. When developing a constitution in each Nation, this will allow for each Nation to move forward in self-government with the First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory.
