“Aniin, Boozhoo, Niiwiijii Anishinaabemuk, Colleen Edwards dishinikas. I work for Treaty 2 Territory for Aniimoozeebeeng, Dog Creek, Lake Manitoba First Nation, as a Local Nation Helper. I look forward to working with my Anishinaabemuk. My job is to work on our constitution and how it would work to benefit our community. I’m currently working on our local history, I will need help from our Elders to provide me information. We need to do this, so it doesn’t get lost and for our future generations to know our history. I’ll input the information in the T2 website, under Lake Manitoba. I’ll be going around taking pictures of our business buildings. Our community is growing, but if we all work together, we will build a better community for our children, grandchildren and their grandchildren. Kitchi Meegwetch!” – Colleen Edwards, Local Nation Helper – Lake Manitoba (Aniimoozeebeeng) First Nation
The FNT2T would like to say “Miigwetch” to Colleen for her contribution to her nation: the development of the constitution and maintenance of the Lake Manitoba First Nation website. Please visit www.lakemanitobafn.com!
