Winnipeg Residents of the FNT2T attend Christmas Celebration Dinner

Treaty 2 Territory – Winnipeg members from the First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory gathered on December 17th at the Canad Inn Polo Park for a celebration Christmas dinner. 401 people attended the celebration dinner and were treated to entertainment, food, and prizes. Boh Kubrakovich welcomed everyone with opening remarks, including a brief history of Treaty 2, and the future direction of the FNT2T. David Rundle Sr. of Ebb and Flow First Nation conducted an opening prayer. The evening continued on with entertainment from Lachelle Packulak, Gator Beaulieu, and Dusty Beaulieu of Ebb and Flow First Nation. Members in attendance had the opportunity to win some free door prizes including gift cards and FNT2T official apparel. The evening concluded with presentations by Natural World Keeper Ron Missyabit and Sports and Recreation/Human Resource Keeper Lana Racette, and closing remarks by Boh Kubrakovich. Grand Chief Eugene Eastman with the FNT2T Governing Council sent their regrets and wished everyone “Happy Holidays and a prosperous New Year.” Giche Miigwetch to FNT2T staff on a successful event, and to all members of the FNT2T in attendance.
