Treaty 2 Territory – I was in my home community of Tootinaowaziibeeng Treaty Reserve on January 10, 2020. Store clerk Shannamer Chartrand was enjoying his latest edition of The Moccasin Trail News. Community members can pick a copy up at the TTR store and throughout the community. The staff at the school were having soup and bannock. It was delicious ! Staff are looking forward to the language camp that will be in the school in the near future. The local students in the high school will also be participating in a presentation on the upcoming Winter Youth Games in Pinaymootang First Nation February 26-29, 2020. I met with Chief Mckay he is the lead for the Winter Youth Games for the leadership. He is looking forward to the games and the youth participating from the Treaty 2 Territory.
