Treaty 2 Territory – Pinaymootang First Nation School is excited to host the 2020 Winter Games. Communications Keeper Ray Mousseau and Sports & Recreation Keeper Lana Racette met with Principal Edwin McCorrister and Vice Principal Mr. Hourie on Thursday, January 23rd, 2020. Pinaymootang School welcomes the 2020 Winter Games, and the participants from all Nations with the FNT2T. The school will work closely with the Local Winter Games Committee to ensure the games are a successful event.
The Pinaymootang School is pleased to participate in Anishinaabemowin sessions hosted by the FNT2T. The school has an excellent language program which delivers Anishinaabemowin to students from Kindergarten to Grade 6. The FNT2T will partner up with the school to ensure Anishinaabemowin is available to students in Grades 7 & 8. The Anishinaabemowin sessions will be hosted through 4 full school days with local elders and school staff. Sessions will begin in February 2020.
