Treaty 2 Territory – Dauphin River first nation is excited to participate in the FNT2T language sessions and upcoming winter games. Communications Keeper Ray Mousseau, Sports & Recreation Keeper Lana Racette, Knowledge Council Emery Stagg, and Local Nation Helper Yolanda Thompson met with Education, Jordan’s Principle, Nation Staff, and Elders on Tuesday, January 28th, 2020.
The language sessions will begin in February in Dauphin River and will host Nursery to Grade 8 students at the school. Dauphin River has many elders who are fluent in Anishinaabemowin. Their Nation is excited to share the language with the children and youth. The principal is please to have the opportunity to send students to the 2020 Winter Games in February. The Dauphin River First Nation believes in giving children and youth an opportunity to play sports while building friendships with others from the 11 Nations of the FNT2T. Miigwetch!
