Treaty 2 Territory – Aaniin, Boozhoo and Hello to all as you know we have been extremely busy with The Nation, Territory and Government of First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory (FNT2T). Our position is unique as we are a collective Nation with many local Nations including our foundation members and other Nations living within our territory. We do not interfere with local Nation operations. We support them and we support the process of unifying the Territory.
As the Government we are here to support and continue to Unify. Many distractions and obstacles hit us daily, however we will prevail as we work toward the Implementation of the Treaty and receiving equitable infrastructure support, programs and services for all members within the Treaty 2 Territory.
Our steps toward Law and Nation development continues. Our staff have been really busy through our Nation Development Circle. Our Local Nation Helpers are key to all communications with us and we feel we are moving our Nation forward. They continue to meet, talk about law development and the importance of staying together for the protection of our Inherent rights and the betterment of our Nation. Our Treaty has not been implemented after 149 years and we must remain united in order to make sure the Crown is accountable to do so. It is now time to move on the Immigration and Settlement compensation and the transfer payments for equitable Infrastructure, Programs and Services (IPS).
