First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory Chiefs at the Dauphin Correctional Centre Closure Rally

Treaty 2 Territory – Grand Chief Eugene Eastman, Chief Cameron Catcheway and Chief Barry McKay attended the MGEU March & Rally in Dauphin to show support on the members of the First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory on Tuesday, February 4th, 2020. Grand Chief Eastman welcomed the crowd to the Treaty 2 Territory and the crowd cheered in an acknowledgement of the Territory. Grand Chief provided the opportunity for Chief Catcheway and Chief Mckay to share remarks. Chief Catcheway holds the portfolio for Justice and Peacekeeping with the FNT2T, sent a letter in opposition of the DCC closure to the Province of Manitoba. Chief Eastman shared closing remarks on the importance of united together in moving forward against the closure of the Dauphin Correctional Centre.
