Uniting our Nation by Sport is real – T2T Winter Games 2020 in Pinaymootang

Treaty 2 Territory – The first ever Treaty 2 Territory Winter Games are ready to go. Hats off to the host committee for being able to pull off such a great feat.  The obstacles and positive lessons learnt happens to the best of us. This shows strength and the vision to Uniting our Nation by Sport is real.  The games will happen and in fact with 310 athletes attending.

“Our Nation, Territory and Government is alive through our games in Pinaymootang and having our own youth games is what is all about and what we live for”, said Grand Chief Eastman

The final logistics (merchandise, accommodations, meals) and now the schedule is ready. Local Nation Helpers for each Local Nation has direct information from the Host Committee on what is happening.  Below is a draft schedule that will be firmed up through the weekend.  Teams from the four directions and colours will be drafted on Tuesday and when athletes check in they will be given their team and games schedule.

Sporting events will be played at/out of the following facilities:
– Basketball: Lake St. Martin School, Little Saskatchewan School, Pinaymootang School
– Badminton: Lake St.Martin School, Little Saskatchewan School, Pinaymootang School
– Hockey: Pinaymootang Arena
– Snowshoes: Pinaymootang Treaty Grounds, behind PFN Band Office

7:00 p.m.          Outside Looking In Dance Program – Pinaymootang School

  • Engage Youth in Dance Session with Outside Looking In Dance Staff and Students
