Treaty 2 Territory – The Government of First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory held the 2020 Winter Games on February 26-29, 2020 in Pinaymootang First Nation. The 2020 Winter Games is the first of it’s kind within the numbered Treaties. 330 youth from the Treaty 2 Territory gathered in a celebration of unity through sports. The FNT2T is educating youth of the importance of the Treaty signed between the Anishinaabe and Crown in 1871. Uniting our youth is an important step in moving forward as a Nation. This video is a highlight of the 2020 Winter Games. 2021 will mark the 150th Anniversary of the signing of Treaty 2. We will be announcing the 2021 Summer Games and Celebration shorty.
