Treaty 2 Territory – Sunday, March 22, 2020, Today we are pleased to announce there are no cases of COVID-19 on any of our Nations in the FNT2T. Our Nations have been excersizing “Social Distancing” within the Territory. On a wider range, there are no cases of COVID-19 with the Treaty 2 Territory. The province of Manitoba has announce 19 cases of COVID-19 with confirmed cases in Winnipeg and the surrounding area. 18 of the 19 cases confirmed were those who traveled and returned with symptoms. Those who have traveled with the last 15 days, are asked to self-isolate, avoid crowds and avoid going to the grocery stores.

The members of the FNT2T have been doing an excellent job in refraining from traveling and large gatherings. Our Nations are asking it’s members to avoid leaving their nations for non essential reasons, and to avoid larger cities such as Winnipeg or Brandon. Travel is not advised to members of the FNT2T. Canada has issued travel restrictions which include international travel.

Tips for families: wash your hands often, cough or sneeze into your sleeve, avoid touching your face, stay home if you’re feeling ill. Gatherings of 50 people are more is prohibited. If you should leave your home, practice social distancing – 2 meter distance from others in public.
