Inherent Right to Govern: Chief Norman Bone talks Sovereignty – Part 1 of 2

Treaty 2 Territory – Chief Norman Bone of Keeseekoowenin First Nations talks about sovereignty with the Nations of the First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory. The “Indian Act” has been imposed on First Nations since the beginning of its existence. Chief Bone made a clear comment for Canada “…its not our law.” Sovereign Nations are strong together. As sovereign nations, we will continue to live by our own laws. Those laws being “The Seven Sacred” teachings of love, wisdom, respect, truth, humility, honesty, and courage. Chief Bone talks about moving forward as a Government of the First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory in Part 1 of 2: Inherent Right to Govern. Miigwetch!
