Tootinaowaziibeeng moving forward cautiously in Covid 19 world

Treaty 2 Territory – FNT2T government was in the community of Tootinaowaziibeeng Treaty Reserve on June 24, 2020. Chief Barry Mckay met with Regional Office Keeper Scott Lynxleg of FNT2T to discuss Tootinaowaziibeeng moving forward cautiously in the Covid 19 pandemic. Chief Mckay stated that all first nations need to be prepared and move cautiously to protect the community members. FNT2T government will be supporting Tootinaowaziibeeng in local law development and working with the Natural World Circle in developing hunting information sessions and the Climate Change project headed by Ron Missyabit.

Tootinaowaziibeeng will be hosting information sessions along with an open house, once all the precautions have been taken to inform the community members on the governance process of the First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory government. FNT2T government will be working with Local Nation Helper Jessica Ironstand Nelson in organizing the information sessions and local law development for all community members to participate.
