Keeseekoowenin First Nation opening cautiously

June 26, 2020

Treaty 2 Territory – As the restrictions on Covid 19 are slowly loosened by the province and as the case count goes down, Keeseekoowenin First Nation continues to be cautious in preventing the virus from entering their community. Councillor Bradley Burns stated that Keeseekoowenin has been following the provincial guidelines in terms of the Covid 19 and what restrictions are in place. Keeseekoowenin continues the essential programming for community members like health care and some services provided by outside organizations like the Mobile Clinic that is in the community to service community members. The community buildings are open on a limited basis. The province has recently moved their tentative opening dates of most services to July 15 at this time and will be re-evaluated. Keeseekoowenin also has the date of July 15 for the re-opening of the community buildings and services. Check for updates and posters in the community.
