Treaty 2 Territory – Monday, July 13, 2020, Leadership of Dauphin River First Nation and FNT2T Staff met at the FNT2T Government Building for discussions on Governance. Chief John Stagg, Councillor Owen Stagg, and Councillor Leonard were presented an update on the Government of the First Nations in Treaty 2 Territory.
Lead Keeper Boh Kubrakovich started the meeting and presented the FNT2T Agenda including Term Sheet with Canada/RIRSD table, Unfinished Treaty Business and Restorative Peacemaking. Shawn Gurke, GIS & Mapping Specialist presented the map and land capabilities of Dauphin River First Nation. Shawn presented information and visuals for those in attendance. Communications Keeper Ray Mousseau presented the websites of the FNT2T, Anishinaabemowin, and Dauphin River website to the leadership of Dauphin River.
