Treaty 2 Territory – FNT2T Regional Office Dauphin met with Local Nation Helper Tommy Hunter of Ochichakosipi on July 17, 2020. As the restrictions are loosened by the province, the governance process for Ochichakosipi will move forward with information sessions, posters, and open house for the community members to attend and participate in while observing the precautions for the pandemic. Ochichakosipi will be hosting treaty day events in the community in August, the date has not been set. Information on the treaty day celebrations will be posted in the community. FNT2T regional office will be working with the Local Nation Helper with the governance process and community events/developments. The leadership supports the development of local laws for elections, membership and constitution for the community of Ochichakosipi. FNT2T government continues to support the community of Ochichakosipi and its members in building a future for the next generations.
