July 24, 2020

Treaty 2 Territory – FNT2T Regional Office Dauphin was in community of Tootinaowaziibeeng on Thursday July 23, 2020 to celebrate the opening of the new biking trail and interpretive park for the Dibishkoonide Niniijaanis program (Jordan’s Principle). A BBQ was held and open house for the community members to attend and walk through the park and the biking trail. Chief Barry Mckay was in attendance and stated that this was a beautiful park for the children of the community to come and learn land base activities. There will be a biking program for the children using the bikes with the big tires. There are plans for developing the park for different uses by the children. A miniature golf course is among some of the future items being developed for the park. FNT2T would like to congratulate the Jordan’s Principle Program and chief and council on developing this beautiful park for the community of Tootinaowaziibeeng.
