Treaty 2 Territory – As the case count of Covid 19 continues to rise in the Treaty 2 Territory and the recent restrictions reintroduced by the Manitoba Health Department, many local nations have restricted access to local buildings and outside visitors. The majority of local nations are requiring masks when entering any local building or program. Some leadership have considered re-establishing the checkpoints for access to their community but will decide as updates on the case counts become available. Many meetings have been rescheduled or reduced to comply with the new gathering restrictions. FNT2T Regional Office Dauphin will be suspending in person meetings and going virtual online for upcoming staff meetings and council meetings. These changes will be in effect until the status is changed by Manitoba Health. FNT2T would like to encourage all members to practice Covid precautions like handwashing, social distancing and the wearing of masks.
