Treaty 2 Territory – On Thursday, November 05,2020 the FNT2T governing council met with Minister of Indigenous Services Mark Miller via a Zoom meeting that was held at the FNT2T government building.
Regional Office Dauphin sat in on the meeting to listen to the issues that the leadership brought forward to the Minister. The governing council each had an opportunity to speak with the minister and voice their concerns. Items such as Covid 19, flooding issues, schools, and clean water were discussed.
The minister listened to the leadership and agreed that he would address the issues that were discussed, with Covid 19 a high priority. Grand Chief Eugene Eastman stated it was a positive meeting moving forward with a relationship between Canada and FNT2T government.
