Treaty 2 Territory – Gambler leadership put their emergency community plan in action on November 08,2020 as a winter ice storm hit the Gambler nation, knocking out power to the nation and leaving the residents without power. All residents of the tiny community were evacuated to the nearest town of Russell Manitoba. The entire area was coated with ice and snow. Residents of the nation were lodged in hotels and were supplies with food/supplies. Chief Dave Ledoux was glad their community planning was in place to help the nation members with the evacuation of the nation. FNT2T government would like to congratulate Chief Ledoux and his members for working together and keeping everyone safe.
