Emergency Management practices presented to the Local Nation Helpers

Treaty 2 Territory – Emergency Management was the topic of the presentation to the Local Nation Helpers on Thursday January 21, 2021. Toby Desmonie of the Saskatchewan Frist Nations of Safety Association out of the Treaty 4 area. This presentation was an introduction to recognizing safety hazards in our nations. There are many hazards and emergency planning is important to be ready for all kinds of situations, from weather to Covid 19 pandemic.

This training session is part of a five day training for all the Local Nation Helpers to be informed and have some training in recognizing and help develop a Emergency Response Plan for their nation. In the future, when safe to do so, there will be information sessions on law development and nation building. Please stay home and stay safe.
