Health and Wellbeing presented to FNT2T Local Nation Helpers as part of their governance training

January 26, 2021

Treaty 2 Territory – FNT2T Local Nation Helpers continued with their online training with a presentation on Health and Wellbeing and the development of a Health and Wellbeing Circle in each community. Karen Kejick of FNT2T presented the workplan and how FNT2T Health and Wellbeing Circle will work with all the nations in FNT2T to develop these circles in each nation.

There are many areas when it comes to health and well being, such as taking care of yourself physically, emotionally. Youth and sports is another area of being healthy. Eating healthy and choosing the proper foods. Learning our traditional medicines and how we took care of our children and their health. Land based activities is also a great way of learning and participating in the ways our ancestors lived. Please look for upcoming information and engagement sessions on this circle and others in your nation.
