Tootinaowaziibeeng Anishanaabe Health launches training programs in the local nation

Treaty 2 Territory – On March 08, 2021 Tootinaowaziibeeng Health began the Life Skills portion of the Health Care Aide program that is being offered to the members of Tootinaowaziibeeng in partnership with Assiniboine Community College. The program runs from March to August with Certification being presented at the Tootinoawaziibeeng Cultural Centre. Greg Murdoch is the instructor along with his sister Ruth Murdoch who have been training in the territory for years and works with different nations in wellness and life skills. The participants will be taking the Life Skills portion for one month with a ceremony of completion on April 02. They will then carry on with the Health Care Aide portion which will be delivered by Assiniboine Community College instructors at the Cultural Centre.

There is also an Applied Counselling Certificate program being offered to the members of Tootinaowaziibeeng through A.C.C as well. FNT2T would like to wish the participants and staff well in the programs and will continue to work with Tootinaowaziibeeng.
