Keeseekoowenin continuing with engagement strategies for local law development

March 18, 2021

Treaty 2 Territory – On March 18, 2021, Regional Office Dauphin met with Keeseekoowenin Local Nation Helper Stephanie Swain Lathlin and Councillor Alison Mckay at the admin office in Keeseekoowenin Ojibway Nation. Engagement was the main discussion item of the meeting. With Covid 19 preventing small and large gatherings, some engagement strategies that will be used are social media, hard copy surveys from the FNT2T circles, phone call interviews, and a mailbox drop for members to give their input into the local law development for Keeseekoowenin.

When vaccinations and restrictions are lowered, small engagement sessions will be held in the nation for members to attend and give their input for each local law. Surveys from the Natural World Circle, law development, and Restorative Peacekeeping are available for members to review and give their input. Please contact Local Nation Helper Stephanie Swain – Lathlin for surverys or more information. FNT2T government continues to support Keeseekoowenin in their law and nation development.
