FNT2T Knowledge Council support local nation law development

Treaty 2 Territory – FNT2T Knowledge Council met online, on Wednesday April 14, 2021. This session was hosted by Dauphin River Nation. Due to Covid pandemic and a recent snowfall, this meeting was held on Microsoft Teams for safety and convenience of the Knowledge Keepers.  Agenda items that were discussed were Treasury and Administration with Ryan Sutherland, Peacekeeping with Chantel Barker, Child and Family Nation with Lois Stoll, Earth Lodge with Allen Sutherland, Health and Wellbeing with Kim Mcpherson, each providing updates to the council on each circle.

The Knowledge council supported the motion of Child and Family Nation law development, along with the Peacekeeping Circle development as well. The Knowledge Council meets monthly to provide guidance and knowledge in all areas of FNT2T government processes. There is a representative from each nation to sit on the council. The next Knowledge Council meeting is set for May 12,2021 at the Keeseekoowenin Sharing Lodge in Clear Lake, Mb.
